A move into the public art space. Metro Arts Consulting (MAC) is a new extension of Metro Arts, working with businesses, developers, and architects, as well as local artists, to create site-specific works.

The goal of this project was to develop a new brand that stands out within the public art industry while coexisting with Metro Arts' core brand. It needed to be distinct enough to avoid confusion yet still connected, drawing on over 40 years of local culture and place-based engagement.

OUTCOME

The final outcome is a strong, modern, and more formal brand. MAC retains Metro Arts' font family, continuing with Futura. The logomark extends the core brand by incorporating a ‘C’ while cleverly embedding an ‘A’ in negative space, symbolising MAC’s collaborative approach to seamlessly integrating art into its surroundings. The brand adopts a more structured layout and a fresh yet refined color palette not found in the core brand. Together, these elements help MAC resonate with a corporate audience while clearly distinguishing it from Metro Arts.
